We are a member of the Theatrical Traders Association which is the trade federation for companies that supply goods or services to the theatre and film industry. Membership means and established reputable trader, whose company profile and background has been checked and who upholds the Associations standards.

Originally founded in 1929 and for a time known as the Entertainment Industry Suppliers Association, it now carries the original title to reflect the chaanges in the theatre and film world. The Association runs an information line where impartial help is available to assist with your show. This is available on 0845 126 0631

We have a long standing relationship with various media companies and theatre groups. In the past we have provided items for the Imperial War Museum, The BBC, Paramount Pictures, Madam Tussauds, The New London Theatre, The Sex Pistols, The Royal Exchange theatre, The National Theatre of Serbia and of Norway and Leeds City council.

We have also been involved in charity events where we have provided our services for free

We provide a hire service for film, TV and theatre which includes, uniforms, props and in some cases weapons. We have a wide variety of uniforms available but we mainly specialise in World War Two British and German.

Our rates are competative and rates can be negotiated for long term hire

December 2012 - The History Bunker is providing 12 bespoke WW1 US Army uniforms for Opera North for a performance of The Great Gatsby, the performance is to commence a nationwide tour starting in March 2013

Nijinsky - National Canadian Opera

Parades End - BBC 2

WW1 British officers uniforms provided by The History Bunker are now being shown on BBC Two in Parades End. We provided 10 custom made uniforms for the actor Benedict Cumberbatch.

The Sound of Music, Bahrain

We are in the early srages of working on a film in South Africa entitled "Document 079", the film focuses on the two Boer wars.

Alzheimers Society event - York 23rd May 2012

Continuing our long standing charitable work we are to provide a number of WW2 uniforms, music and other items for an event taking place in York on the 23rd May 2012.

A marque will be erected in the centre of York and furnished to resemble a 1940s tea room, we will, as usual with charity work, be providing our services for free

We have recently provided a number of uniforms and props for scenes in upcoming British Gangster movie, Coolio

Conspiracy - Riverwalk Theatre, Michigan, USA

We recently worked on a theatre production of the accalaimed film "Conspiracy". The, film, starring Kenneth Brannagh portrayed the meeting that took place at Wansee to discuss the Final Solution.

For the theatre production we provided all the military uniforms, some tailor made.

Eddie Chapman - Agent Zig Zag

We have recently provided items for an up and coming BBC documentary on Eddie Chapman, also known as Agent Zig Zag, Chapman was a triple agent working for the British who was awarded the Iron Cross by the Germans

Santa Barbara Films - Nicholas Tolkien "Terezin"

We provided several uniforms and costumes for the up and coming film "Terezin", currently shooting in Los Angeles. The film is produced and directed by Nicholas Tolkien, the great-Grandson of JRR Tolkien, the writed of "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings"

Crocodile Media production for BBC 4 -How TV won the War

We provided Crocodile Media of Manchester, England with various props for an up coming production to be shown on BBC 4.

Crocodile Media have produced programmes such as "Billy Connolly: Journey to the edge of the World" and "Adam Ant:The Madness of Prince Charming"

The Last War Heroes - Impossible Pictures for CHANNEL FOUR

We recently worked with Impossible pictures on their latest project "The Last War Heroes", a six part docu-drama for Britains Channel four.

Impossible productions have produced such titles as "Blitz Street", "Primeval" and "Walking with Giants - A Walking with Dinosaurs Special"

The Last War Heroes (working title) tells the epic story of the campaign that took the Allies from the biggest amphibious assault in history to ultimate victory over Nazi Germany that caused Hitler to commit suicide in his bunker in Berlin. We will learn what it was like to be in the boots of the men that were drafted in to fight for the survival of democracy and who had to face one of the most efficient fighting machines the world had ever seen. This isn’t the fictional Hollywood version – its hard reality – not only are the first hand experiences real, so are the bombs and munitions. This series will tell the personal stories of the men who fought their way across Europe. Theirs is a tale of vulnerability as well as strength, of overcoming fear, pitying the enemy, of loss and regret, but also moments of elation and will power that lead to victory.
Each hour chronologically picks a particular phase of the battle that was significant in the allied advance and zooms in on the details and personal experiences of those on the front line, the critical moments and decisions that epitomise the face of combat during the heat of battle. From Juno Beach on D-Day, the Lost Battalion at Hill 314, Sherman against Tiger tank battles, air attacks by spitfire and hurricane, the Bridge at Remagen, to the Reichstag in Berlin. Continuing our relationship with the BBC we are now providing WW1 uniforms for the screening of the Tom Stoppard play, "Parades End" to be shown on BBC 2 in 2012

Chelsea Football Club

In March 2011 we provided a full WW1 British soldiers uniform to the museum at Chelsea foot ball club, Stamford Bridge, London.

The uniform was to illustrate a VC hero who played for the club.

Being Leeds United supporters, supplying Chelsea with one of our uniforms was a difficult decision ;-)

In December 2010 we provided a number of uniforms for the new series of Shameless to be broadcast in Jan 2011. Our uniforms appear in episode 12

Imperial War Museum - North

In November 2010 we provided a WW1 British soldiers uniform to the Imperial War Museum - North. This is the second time we have worked with the IWM and hope to continue this relationship into the future

The Pacific - DVD Release

In November 2010 we worked in conjunction with Taylor Herring PR and HBO to provide uniforms and equipment for the DVD release of the Tom Hanks directed mini series, The Pacific.

The Pacific War Museum, Guam

In August 2010 we provided a WW2 Japanese tunic for the Pacific War Museum on the tiny island of Guam in the Pacific

Armstrong and Miller UK tour 2010

In August 2010 we provided various uniforms and equipment for the Armstrong and Miller UK tour.

For our overseas customers Armstrong and Miller are UK comedians who feature regularly on British TV, with one of their most popular creations being a pair of WW2 RAF pilots who speak in current British street slang

Iration Steppas

We recently kitted out dub crew Iration Steppas with camouflage outfits.

The Iration Steppas are "The Vanguard of Dub, playin Dubz inna year 3000 style"

They can be seen and heard every month at Sub Dub, The West Indian Centre Leeds as well as various dates across the UK and Europe

UK Armed Forces Day - Leeds Town Hall - 27th June 2010

Once again we were very proud to be involved in UK Armed Forces Day at the Leeds Town Hall. A nationwide event celebrating the efforts of the British armed forces both past and present.

We supplied several British army uniforms spanning the years 1879 to 1944. We would like to thank our friends at Leeds City Council for giving us the opportunity to take part in what was an excellent day.

The History Bunker also set up residence in the Elgar room where we displayed and sold our uniforms to the public

We hope to be involed in Armed Forces day on an annual basis, see you next year

The Interview

The History Bunker has been heavily involved in a new theatre production entitled "The Interview"

The Interview is a thought provoking play depicting a singular account of the Holocaust. Phillip Carter, an enthusiastic reporter arranges an interview with a holocaust survivor, Ms Ruben. His enthusiasm and personal crusade to show the world why the holocaust happened, is demolished once he comes face to face with Ms Ruben. The reporter transitions almost immediately from interviewer, to interviewee. Ms Ruben's firsthand account of Life in the holocaust quickly exposes the common naivety the reporter shows, a characteristic shared by the majority of modern people to date.

The play, through emotional flashbacks, cleverly stages the events of Ms Ruben's life. They demonstrate the happiness, loneliness, and the graphic violence endured by those people effected in Germany and the rest of Europe.

The intelligent script explores the reality of human ignorance, and force the question around humanity's dark capabilities.

The Play is sure to send you on a rollercoaster of emotions, and through its intellect will entice you to ask your own questions relevant to our world today.

The production opened at Dewsbury Town Hall and ran for a week and was very well received by audiences and reviewers alike. A second run is booked this time at Leeds Town Hall in June, further performances in Londons West End, Manchester and Birmingham are also planned.

Derek Walk 2010

The History Bunker is sponsoring and supporting Derek Browns attempt to walk from Plymouth to Leeds and back. Derek is originally from Plymouth by now lives in Leeds, he is walking approx 700 miles to raise money for charities such as "Help for Heroes", heres a word from Derek -

"Hi, I'm Derek Brown. I was born on 31st August 1961, at 5 minutes past 4am, in the Military Hospital, in Plymouth, I was born Prematurely hitting the big scales at a mere 2lb-1oz.

I am hearing Impaired and have fused toes.

Over the years I have support a number of Charities, all for personal feeling. I have always said that if you are going to support a charity, know why you want to, and get to know about the charity. I have carried out Runs, Walks, Football, boxing, held supermarket and pub collections, held Raffles and even done a bed race!

In August I will be taking on a challenge to walk from Leeds to Plymouth and back, over 700 miles in only 32 days.

If anyone wishes to join in and walk and spend the day with me, all are welcome, if they wish to raise funds for their own Organisations/School/Charity that would be fine with me."

Shutter Island - Paramount Pictures, Hollywood

We have recently provided reproduction WW2 paperwork for scenes in the upcoming Hollywood blockbuster, Shutter Island starring Leonardo Dicaprio and British actor Ben Kingsley. Our items are seen when, Dicaprio, dressed as a US Soldier enters Dachau concentration camp and is seen surrounded by falling papers, these were provided by us.

Directed by Martin Scorsese the plot revolves around a U.S Marshal, Teddy Daniels (Dicaprio) who is investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane. We provided paperwork for scenes which take place in the offices of
a liberated Dachau concentration camp in 1945. The film is due for release in 2009.

Stratford Shakespeare Festival - Canada

In Feb 2010 we provided tailor made outfits for the Stratford Shakespeare Festivals productions of "As You Like It" and "Evita"

Royal Armouries, Leeds

In a busy start to the year we were extremely proud to be contacted by the Royal Armouries and asked to provide several WW1 and WW2 British uniforms. It is indeed an honour to be approached by such a prestigious museum.

Hypotheria - Theatre production

In Jan 2010 we provided a costume for a new theatre production entitled, Hypothermia, below is a short description -

World premiere of new play in Huddersfield - This taut, gripping drama is a moving and powerful celebration of life, hope and love. Critically acclaimed, inspirational Full Body & The Voice is at Lawrence Batley Theatre, Huddersfield with world premiere of it's latest production HYPOTHERMIA 3rd till 6th February. Dark, funny, poignant and compelling by turns this thrilling play has a unique physical style and is a piece of new and original writing by FB&TV's Artistic Director Vanessa Brooks.

Based on fact during a period when 'mercy killing' served as a cloak for the mass murder of people with disabilities HYPOTHERMIA asks how far removed we are now from making judgements about the worth of humanity and whether a reluctance to take action and fight prejudice could result in similar acts happening again.

Rebellion - Computer Game software

In Jan 2010 we worked with computer game producing giant, Rebellion, most famous for their creation "Aliens v Predator". The guys from Rebellion spent a day at The History Bunker photographing various German WW2 uniforms for their follow up to Sniper Elite (pictured). The new game will be set in the wastes of 1941 Stalingrad and is sure to be a hit

In January 2010 we provided some 19th century British soldier kit for the Black Watch Museum in Perth Scotland

WW2 Museum, Toledo, Spain

In November 2009 we were asked to provide a specially comissioned out fit worn by the inmates of the Death Camps. The outfit will be displayed in the WW2 museum in Toledo, Spain

WW2 Re-enactor magazine - Dec 09 - Jan 10 issue

In November 2009 we were asked by Edon Publishing to provide a WW2 British officers uniform. Our uniform was featured on the front page of WW2 re-enactor magazine as well as featuring in a major article within.

INGLORIOUS BASTERDS - TARRANTINO

In November 2009 we were asked to provide uniforms and equipment to be used in promotional work regarding the DVD release of Quentin Tarrantinos "Inglorious Basterds".

Imperial War Museum

In September 09 we were asked to provide a selection of WW2 French paperwork for the Imperial War Museum. The paperwork was to be of the type carried by British speis dropped in France during WW2 and was to be used in a display at the museum.

WW2 anniversary charity event - West Leeds

In September 09 we provided a number of uniforms for WW2 themed event a Phil May Court sheltered housing centre in Leeds UK. Our uniforms were provided free of charge as this was a charity event organised for the residents.

The event was attended by members of the British army both past and present as well as members of the local media

The BBC

We recently provided the BBC with one of our WW2 British soldier uniforms. This is to be used in an episode of the BBC's tea time magazine programme "The One Show" and is to be worn by former political journalist, John Segeant.

The episode is set for broadcast in September 2009

Online Computer Game Project

In July 2009 we worked with photographer and designer Chris West on his venture to combine online gaming with gamer vacations. The project is at an early stage and many details are confidential but all will be revealed soon................so watch this space!

The Liquidation - Emporer Films

In July 2009 we provided Emporer Films of Norway and number of uniforms and props for their production of "The Liquidation". The plot centres around a group of German WW2 soldiers in Norway

Dead Snow - IFC Films

In July 2009 we were involved in promotional work for the DVD release of Norwegian Nazi Zombie movie "Dead Snow". We provided uniforms and equipment for the launch.

Dead Snow is a Norwegian comedy horror, starring among others, Charlotte Frogner, Stig Frode and Jenny Skavlan. It centres around a group of teens who discover a cache of Nazi treasure in the mountains. They are quickly persued by its owners, a group of Nazi Zombies!

Madame Tussauds

We have recently being working in conjunction with Madame Tussauds with regards to their new museum which opened in Berlin in 2008.

We provided a full uniform and insignia for their model of Otto von Bismarck,
the first chancellor of Germany (1871 – 1890). The uniform was tailored to Tussauds specifications by one of our American tailors using the finest material. Great care was in the production as Madame Tussauds were very specific about what they required. In the end they were extremely happy.

Valkyrie - Film production

We were involved in yet another Hollywood blockbuster, 2009's "Valkyrie" starring Tom Cruise.
This time we were asked to provide a selection of props which included large silver eagles and flags.

Operation Valkyrie - The Documentary

We have been heavily involved in the production of a documentary/dramatisation of the attempted assassination of Adolf Hitler in 1944 by Claus von Stauffenberg. The documentary is being filmed in Oxford, England in May 2008 by Pantheon Films in conjunction with Bill Schwartz of Schwartz & Company www.schwartzcompany.com

We were asked to provide 26 actors including the parts of Adolf Hitler, Claus von Stauffenberg, Kietel and many others. We were also on hand to provide assistance on WW2 German vehicles, including Opel Blitz trucks, Kubelwagons and Erwin Rommels original staff car. We also assisted in the acquisition and hiring of the weapons needed, including K98 rifles, MP40 sub machine guns and Luger sidearms (these were provided by a reputable company and an armourer was in attendance at all times).

Imagine This - The New London Theatre, Drury Lane, London

In June 2008 we were aked to provide 13 individually tailored SS uniforms for the West End stage musical - Imagine This.

All uniforms were made to exact measurments and came with insignia, medlas, webbing and overcoats.

The Producers, Neptune Theatre, Nova Scotia, Canada

In April 2008 we worked with the Neptune Theatre in Canada on their production of the Mel Brooks classic "The Producers". We provided tailor made WW2 German outfits for all of the cast

Film Blades, Cyprus

In December 2008 we were given the associate production role on an upcoming Cypriot film about the British army occupation. We provided 25 full soldier and officer uniforms, all tailor made.

Royal Lancashire Fusiliers

In Feb 2009 we collaborated with sculpture Kevin Harlow to provide three uniforms for the Royal lancashire Fusiliers new museum in Bury, Lancashire. The three uniforms were from the Napoleonic era, World War 1 and World War 2 and were based on the 3 former members of the regiment

Steve Jones - Sex Pistols

Steve Jones, from legendary punk band Sex Pistols, contacted us in order to purchase a number of items to wear on stage during the bands 2008 Combine Harvester tour. Steve purchased jack boots, Afrika Koprs shirts and Tropical pants as well as DAK caps

Epping Forest Museum

In July 2009 we provided a complete WW1 British soldiers uniform for Epping Forest Museum. The uniform is currently being displayed in a mock up trench which forms part of the museums display pertaining to the Great War. The display runs from July 2009 to September 2009.
